Day 1

Today was beautifully sunny and warm. We had a very successful first day back on snow where we split into our separate groups and got back to the basics. It was great getting to know the kids more personally and growing a rapport within the groups themselves.

After skiing we went to Government Camp, where some of the kids picked up skis they wanted to demo for tomorrow, which will be our first day of GS.

The afternoon was filled with games, (soccer, buoy ball, and a core/agility circuit), followed by dinner at one of the houses. After everyone filled up on a delicious home made meal, all of the athletes and coaches gathered to introduce themselves and the staff gave an overall plan of what we hope to accomplish here at this camp.

Today was exhausting, but I know I speak for everyone when I say how glad we all are to be here. The kids are already as thick as thieves, and the staff has heard the last peaceful silence as even the thickest walls of shyness were made scarce to new friends made in unfamiliar places.

Till tomorrow...
